Chinatown

Chinatown is probably the most famous district of the City. It spawns just above the lower manhattan, with its forest of skycrapers. It is quite a small district, but very colorful, with chinese signs everywhere. Just above of chinatown, some streets (well, one or two), are tagged as being Little Italy.

Buildings themselves are seldom customed to the chinese style. This one is a good counter-example.

Canal street is, alike Bleeker street in the Village, the main course.

Going along Canal street, looking left (north), Mulberry street is the real Little Italy.

The Colombus Park is home to a lot of table games, like dominos, chinese chess, etc.

It was Memorial Day, and Chatham Square was hosting a small ceremony for the chinese-american fallen in wars. The whole country is supposed to stop completely for one minute at 3 pm, but this didnt happen here.

Just north is the Confucius Plaza, with this yoda-lookalike statue.

The Bowery Savings Bank has a strange face, as it opens on both parts of this large shop.

North of chinatown is Puck Building. Thats its real name. Honestly.

The Manhattan Bridge entrance.

Ye Olde Police Headquarters, famous for its bad planning, as the sidewalk around the building is almost non-existent.

This is an official announcement of the mayor of NYC.

Just west of chinatown, Cortlandt Alley has been well preserved, with all the fire stairs and ladders, and is a popular spots for Hollywood shootings.
