Flatiron District

The flatiron district is named after a particular building, the FlatIron, logically enough. This building has a very special form, being the peak of the crossing of Broadway and the Fifth. This is the building I preferred, among the architectural jungle of the city. It's only 20 floors high, but was the (world) highest in its time (beginning of the 20th century), and its peculiar form, whitey color and unique style (not to mention its name) top them all.

As you can see, being on the foot of the building and looking up, is a unique sight.

Just on the right side is the Metropolitan Life tower, with a golden top, ended the short (seven years) FlatIron career as the world highest building.

Sitting in Madison Square (not Garden, although its a Park... huh well), are, once again, squirrels the well-named.

And even better views of the FlatIron.

This is a bit norther of the FlatIron, Herald Square, with so-called "biggest store in the world" Macy's, which sells only clothes on 10 floors. No match for Harrods or les Galeries Lafayette.

I dont remember where *this* is :)

This should be north of Times Squares... I suppose.

And I have no idea where to place that, so its here !
